If you are a person that uses coupons, great job! I'll get back to you later. If are NOT a person that uses coupons I have a few words for you...why not?!! Coupons are your friends, they help you save money and are easily accessible, whether online or picking up your favorite Sunday's newspaper. "Coupons don't save a lot of money" you might say. And you're right, if you don't plan your spending and search for coupon deals.
Here are some tips on getting optimal deals from coupons:
Look at the deals on the coupons
Don't try to use a coupon because it has your favorite brand and reading the requirements for it to be redeemed. Read the coupon before trying to use it, it gives you a mindset on what to look for when shopping.
Only bring coupons you plan to use on the shopping trip
Take only the ones you need in an envelope/wallet for easy access. You don't want to take 50 coupons with you but have to scramble to find the 4 you need causing you to spend 5 minutes looking for them.
Check a store's website for coupons
Some stores like Kroger Grocery Co. are now offering digital coupons. Kroger even goes a step further by allowing its customers to add the coupons to their Kroger Plus Card. Click here to read more about it on Kroger's website.
Try online coupon sites
Coupons.com have pretty good coupons from time to time and are a great site to use. You can print the coupons and redeem them at stores-make sure you have enough ink toner to print the coupons so they are readable. Please note that you do have to install software from the site to print the coupons. If that bothers you, make sure you have a good anti-virus/anti-malware/anti-spyware software. You can visit CNET to find a good free and legal one. I personally recommend AVG 9.0 since it comes with internet security.
Well, those are my tips for you non-coupon users. As for you coupon using-gurus, please leave some of your tips to get the optimal use of coupons in the comment section. And for the reformed non-coupons users leave responses as well, whether it's questions or your recent coupon experience.
