How to Budget for a Large Household with Low Income.

To achieve this goal, you have to include everyone in the discussions to create a budget for the household. Show everyone, the current bills and the total monthly expenses in a typical month - include gas, groceries and other spending as well. Discuss, as a group, how any of the cost could be lowered and let each person suggest ways of how to lower the monthly cost.

Look for any expenses that are not a necessity for the household and discuss how to lower them - i.e. cable bill, buying cigarettes, lottery tickets, fast food, etc.

Do some online research to find competitor rates for the current services used in the household. This can really lower the monthly expenses as long as you read the fine print of the competitor's services and sign up for the lowest costs. Changing your service plans will also lower some of the monthly expenses as well.
