Nickel for your thoughts? Improving your outlook.

To learn more about wealth I read books, to learn how other maintain, and obtain their investments. I'm learning how to become less of a spend person and more of a save person. Here are 5 ways, I feel will improve your psyche on why you should be more active in building wealth:

  1. Save money for a rainy year. With the job market being so bad, it makes you wonder "will you have enough enough money to support your household" So try to have at least 6 months worth of your paychecks saved.
  2. You don't need a lot of money to start saving. Just $20+ a paycheck is good enough to save money.
  3. Stop being so reliant on companies to do things you can do. If you feel like saving money, but never cook your own meals, learn to.
  4. "Expensive" does not always equal "best". Stop looking only at the price tag and look more at the item itself; do your research.
  5. Stop associating money with character. Money is just a way you buy a service. It doesn't make you any more or less of a person, you alone determine your character.

Well, those are some of  my tips, I'll try to start writing some blog posts on these tips soon!
